Newport Primary School believes that uniform makes us ready for school; gives us a sense of belonging and pride; and makes decisions about to wear and what to getting ready for the coming week as simple as possible. The school also values greatly families’ and carers’ adherence to this, as can be seen every assembly and playtime when our children look so smart and proud of their school.

In the interests of health and safety, children are only allowed to wear simple stud earrings and no rings or other jewellery. All jewellery to be removed before Sports lessons. Teachers are not expected to remove children's earrings for these lessons. If your child is unable to remove their own earrings then they should not wear them on a day when they have PE or parents are to provide tape to cover them.

Long hair must be tied back. This will help to prevent the spread of head-lice. Hair should be natural in colour and not shaved with images.

Should families or carers need any guidance or further information, please contact the School Office.
